Dog Show: Campbelltown (Double)

Starting to sound like a broken record. Best in Class, but that was it for the two shows. It didn’t help, that I forgot the show started at 8am, and we turned up at 8:30am so were all a bit rushed Winking smile

Ali ran, and stacked, well. Even managed to keep her ears erect for a change!

Brendan, once again did very well in Junior Handlers, using Matilda (Thanks to Julie).

Dog Show: County of Cumberland

After yesterday’s high, it was a bit of a let down today, to not go past the classes.

Dog Show: Liverpool: Ali Gets Best Minor Puppy in Show!

We started off the day with Sweepstakes, it looked like a Samoyed Specialty with four of them in there! 20121103_Dog Show_Liverpool (2 of 57)Ali, wasn’t settled, but Brigette was picked out.

Then we had the classes, which Ali took Best in Class, but didn’t do any good in the Challenge. The judge didn’t look past the two older girls.

Then Ali took out Best Minor Puppy in Group, which was special. Unfortunately none of the other Samoyeds there, progressed past group.

During the lunch break, Julie Wales, kindly lent Brendan, Matilda, to use in Junior Handlers, and they did very well! Brendan placed 2nd, to a very experienced young lady, yet did place better than a young girl that had beaten him twice before. His only real mistake was when the Judge asked for his dog’s name, which he told him. This is a bit of a no no, as the judge should never know the name of the pup they are judging. He’ll know next time! Winking smile20121103_Dog Show_Liverpool (43 of 57)

20121103_Dog Show_Liverpool (53 of 57)In the General Specials, Ali, had kept her best behaviour to the last, She stacked very nicely, and ran quite well, however it was still a shock when the Judge announced that “the Samoyed” had one.20121103_Dog Show_Liverpool (55 of 57)

Dog Show: Blaxland & Glenbrook

Another lovely spring day, and Ali started it off in the Sweepstakes (6-9 mths) hmmm maybe the less said the better, but let’s just say that there’s not much chance of placing if you are bouncing all over the place Winking smile

Then came classes, and this time she behaved and looked good.

After taking Reserve Challenge bitch, to Jacque’s bitch, she won the Best Minor Puppy in Group20121027_Dog Show_BlaxlandGlenbrook (25 of 28)

In the General Specials, she ran well, despite a couple of Magpies distracting her & most of the other puppies, and she stacked very nicely! However when they were all lined up together, the person behind her was using a squeaker toy to get their pup’s attention, and Ali wouldn’t stand straight, always wanting to turn around to look for the squeaker. So whenever the judge looked her way, all he would see was the back of her head!

Brendan did Junior Handler again, and although he made a few mistakes, he also did some thing very well. He didn’t place, but the judge spent some time with him, after the judging had finished to give him some guidance & tips, which was most helpful & appreciated

Dog Show: Southern Highlands

Went up to New Berrima, this weekend. Ali went OK, but as usual lost out to Brigitte.

Brendan had his first go at Junior Handlers, and placed 2nd (there were only two Winking smile , but he did OK, and won a nice big sash and a $15 gift voucher).

On the Sunday, there were a few more, entered, and he didn’t place. However it was much harder, as the judge asked them to run a T , which is much more difficult than it sounds, and Brendan had never seen it done before.

Thanks to, Julie Wales, for letting him use Matilda.
